Golden Autumn (2014)

On a walk at la Fosse Arthourm near Sain-Georges-de-Rouelley, Southern Manche (50720).

It's a beautiful day today but I am too busy to go out for plein air etudes, and decided to publish a few photos from last year. Fosse Arthour is a small park/nature reserve with a picnic area and a few nice walks.

King Arthur is somewhere there, but he's everywhere, isn't he?

Wisteria. Flight of the Bumblebee.

Wisteria in full bloom is swarmed by bumblebees. It had been a sad little bush until we replanted it a few years ago. Against a south-facing wall it shot up right to the roof.

Joan of Arc and the Chocolate Factory

This nice if somewhat rusted statue of Jeanne d'Arc stands in front of l'église Ste Marie in Tinchebray, the Orne, in the grounds of the old abbey converted into a factory Chocolate Suisse Normande. Note war-time bombs at corners of the flower-bed.

Happy New Year 2011: a Dazzling Sunset

A dazzling snowy sunset on one of the last days of 2010.

The Sun was low and I was shooting straight against the light.
