Mimosas for Women


Mimosas are the symbol of the International Women's Day in some countries. This bouqet I bought in Tinchebray, the Orne, and explained it was for journeé des femmes. The man wasn't surprised at all, wrapped it and put a 'felicitations' sticker on the wrapping.

This year marks the 100th anniversary of the establishment of the day, inspired by the March of the Empty Pans by the New York women textile workers in 1857.
